Monday blues...

<this morning, we went to get in the car to go work/school and discovered that we'd left BOTH passenger side doors wide open all night... then, we made it a quarter mile down the road when Hudson yelled out>

"SOMEONE FORGOT TO BUCKLE ME IN!!!"

Getting out of bed this morning...

"your bum's sticking out, mom."
"what?"
"your butt. it's sticking out."
"where?"

<pointing to the back of my PJ pants>
"that's not my bum, hud. that's a muffin top."
"oh. mom?"
"yes, hudson?"
"your muffin top is sticking out."

Out by the lake...

"isn't the lake cool, hudson?"

"YEAH! dad, it IS cool."

"it's like a big bath tub, right?"

"no dad. it's like a swimming pool... for BOATS!"

On the way to swim class...

"mom, can we listen to duster?"

"what, huddy?"

"duster. i want to listen to 'someday.'"

"oh! GUSTER? cool. but i don't have it in mommy's car."

"get it out of dad's car."

"ok, i'll be right back."

"got it!"

"number FOUR, mommom. i want to listen to number FOUR."

At dinner tonight...
